Universal Joints from T.E.A. Transmissions - Top Level Precision & Reliability

The quality of universal joints can make a vital difference in any mechanical operation. Our range of universal joints comprise top level precision and reliability ensuring the sophisticated exigencies of an evolving market satisfies user’s requirements.

For low speed applications, maximum 1000rpm joints with plain bearings (rubbing bearings) are suggested: types G/GB. They are able to support shock loads, irregular runnings and relatively high torques.

For high rotation speeds, maximum 4000rpm, relatively low torques, motion reversals or wide angles, joints with needle roller bearings: type H, are preferred.

Special joints can be manufactured to drawings to comply with more complex design specifications conforming to customer requirements. Surface treated joints are specially manufactured for highly corrosive applications with custom surface treatments as well as grooved shafts allowing for customisation.

Stainless steel 316 material and imperial sizes are sourced on request.

Protective bellows extend the life of universal joints by preventing the ingress of dust, humidity and acidic vapours. The bellow can also be filled with grease to achieve lifelong lubrication.
